Words from the Director of the Carter County Boys & Girls Club

The 14th annual Dino Senesi Golf Classic was certainly one to remember.  The weather was perfect, the course was beautiful and of course the food was outstanding.  The day began with Chicken, Ribs, salad and rolls from The Outback Steakhouse and a special welcome from Congressman Phil Roe.  As the players prepared to teeoff, most wearing the now famous Dino Senesi Golf shirt provided by Citizens Bank, Director John Malone reminded the teams of why we were all here.  The Dino Senesi Golf Classic has raised more than $250,000 over the years for the Boys and Girls club of Elizabethton/ Carter County.  The tournament funds help allow the Boys and Girls Club to serve more than 1200 kids a year in our community.  "This is our biggest fund raiser of the year, and one of the best golf tournaments in the area."

This year's field included several special guests including, Condridge Holloway, Al Davis and Eddie Brown and Coach Dave Ryder.  This year also set the record for the lowest total score ever turned in for the tournament.  The team led by Chris Guy turned in a final score of 21 under par, 51.  Congratulations!  There were many great scores and many more memorable moments on the course this day.

One of Elizabethton's top annual golf events is less than two weeks away with limited spots remaining.

The top annual fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Club of Elizabethton and Carter County, the Dino Senesi Golf Classic will invade the Elizabethton Golf Course on Monday, June 8th.

At just $100 per golfer, teams of four will battled it out in the one-day tournament under a select shot format with prizes on the line, all while supporting a great cause.

Boys & Girls Club director John Malone feels as if this year's tournament is going to be one of the best yet.

"In my opinion, this is going to be one of the best tournament's we've had in a long time," Malone said. "Because of the sponsors we have and the amount of prizes and participation, I anticipate this being one of the best tournament's we have in years.
